Everything in town is within walking distance. The jade-green waters that bathe the shores of this island are calm, shallow and swimmer-friendly.

What makes Holbox Island really famous is its seasonal snorkeling tours to see Whale Sharks and Manta Rays. The island can brag of being the world’s largest aggregation of these species. A marine park has been created to protect the sharks while they are in the area.
